Anja Cerstiaens received her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2000. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Leuven (Biology Department) conducting research in the field of Peptidomics and Proteomics until 2004. During this period she gained expert knowledge in Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS/MS). From 2005 to 2006 she was employed by Unilever, performing contract research at the laboratory for Pharmacotechnology and Biopharmacy of the Leuven University. Since 2006 she was a study director at Nelson Labs Europe (formerly Toxikon Europe), focusing on Extractables and Leachables studies for Orally Inhaled and Nasal Drug Products. Currently, she is heading the group of study directors (E&L) at Nelson Labs Europe.
